We are a beach and surf themed thrash metal band out of the DFW area. While Sporting Hawaiian shirts and shark fins on stage we play originals and thrash metal covers of your favorite beach songs from the likes of Jimmy Buffet and Dick Dale. We are currently writing and working on our first full length album titled "Hooks and Havoc".

The band started as a fun side project of our singer Connor Flanigan, when in 2022 he decided to transform The Beach Boys classic, Kokomo, into a heavy hitting crossover thrash track. After the band first joined forces in the tribute to Death, Scream Bloody Four, the members which consist of Connor Flanigan (Vocals and Guitar), Eli Cummings (Lead Guitar), Alfredo Sanchez (Drums), and Noah Krey (Bass), decided to make Shark Bait a reality. Combining our love for surf rock and thrash metal, we merged the genres into a new, never been done before band.

After playing our first show in April of 2025, we are now rushing full force into the summer, with releasing our first single "Necrofin" in July, and playing shows throughout DFW and our first out of town show in Austin in August.
